The seed of a Tea Mangrove is reminiscent of a split heart revealing a serpentine tongue. The name Tea Mangrove was given because it’s leaves contain tannins and other substances found in tea, therefore it was once considered part of the Tea Plant family. It is one of the rarest and most unique mangroves.
