The 7.62 Machine gun steams alongside its gunner after a contact at a vehicle check point late at night...Soldiers from 1st New Zealand Infantry Regiment (1RNZIR) are training as part of Exercise Black Diamond with support from Queen Alexandra’s Mounted Rifles, 16th Field Regiment, 2nd Combat service Support Battalion and 2nd Engineer Regiment. The Exercise is testing soldiers in various battle handling tasks in preparation for stabilisation and support operations (SASO).
